چکیده

This paper studies nonlinear dynamics of a simplified model of multiple-input parallel buck converters. The dynamic winnertake-all switching is used to achieve N-phase synchronization automatically, however, as parameters vary, the synchronization bifurcates to a variety of periodic/chaotic phenomena. In order to analyze system dynamics we adopt a simple piecewise constant modeling, extract essential parameters in a dimensionless circuit equation and derive a hybrid return map. We then investigate typical bifurcation phenomena relating to Nphase synchronization, hyperchaos, complicated superstable behavior and so on. Ripple characteristics are also investigated. key words: synchronization, chaos, bifurcation, parallel dc-dc converters

Multi-Phase Synchronization and Parallel Power Converters

This review paper studies nonlinear dynamics of parallel dc–dc converters and its practical applications. First, we introduce a single dc–dc converter which is a building block of the parallel system. Using a simple model of piecewise constant vector field, we show that the converters exhibit rich bifurcation phenomena including chaos and complicated superstable periodic orbits. We then introdu...

A High Efficiency Low-Voltage Soft Switching DC–DC Converter for Portable Applications

This paper presents a novel control method to improve the efficiency of low-voltage DC-DC converters at light loads. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) converters have poor efficiencies at light loads, while pulse frequency modulation (PFM) control is more efficient for the same cases. Switching losses constitute a major portion of the total power loss at light loads. To decrease the switching losses...

Simulation and Experimental Verification of Closed Loop Operation of Buck / Boost DC-DC Converter with Soft Switching

A major problem in an isolated DC/DC converters operating at high switching frequencies is the attendant switching losses in the semiconductor devices. This can be reduced by introducing either zero-voltage switching (ZVS) or zero-current switching (ZCS) of the semiconductor switches. This paper deals with the simulation, design, fabrication and experimental evaluation of a novel soft-switching...

Increasing Voltage Gain by New Structure of Inductive Switching DC-DC Converter

In a photovoltaic system, sun light energy is converted to electricity. The generatedelectricity has a low DC voltage. In order to increase voltage generated by photovoltaic cells (PV),an additive DC-DC converter is required to raise the low voltage to a good level which provides theconditions for connection to DC-DC converters. Low wastes, low costs, and high efficiency are someother specifica...

A Repetitive Control- based Approach for Power Sharing among Boost Converters in DC Microgrids

In this paper a repetitive control (RC) approach to improve current sharing between parallel-connected boost converters in DC microgrids is presented. The impact of changes in line impedance on current sharing is investigated. A repetitive controller is designed and connected in series with current controller of the boost converters to control the switching signals such that by regulating of th...
